The face: center of expressions
The decisive interface to the outside world
Just as life in the 21st century demands more and more of us all, so we have the right to demand the best possible quality of life. Modern medicine and preventive medical treatments help us to reach an ever higher age without serious impairments. In addition, there is the absolutely legitimate desire to be attractive and youthful in order to be successful in professional life and in hard-earned retirement: Your face is our priority here. Dysharmonies in facial aesthetics, both congenital and acquired in life (e.g. through accidents or environmental pollution), can severely impair personal well-being.
Cosmetic facial surgery of 21st century
Modern medicine of the 21st century was able to develop
methods which - in contrast to earlier surgical techniques -
allow very gentle improvements in facial aesthetics.
Prof.Dr.Dr. Troedhan, as a developer of very gentle
ultrasonic surgical procedures in the fields of nose and
chin correction, is a globally recognized expert in this
field (see list of publications). Prof. Troedhan - according
to his former scientific focus on laser-surgery -
performs eyelid corrections ("drooping eyelids") exclusively
with lasers.
Please keep in mind, however, that even modern medicine
cannot avoid scars (surgical scars can only be hidden well)
and that the "perfect" results in glossy magazines and
advertising brochures never (can) correspond to reality.
Objective beauty and subjective perception
Since cosmetic surgeries are not vitally and medically indicated surgical interventions, it must be considered by the physician before each cosmetic surgery whether the patient's wishes can realistically be fulfilled at all.
Studies on patient satisfaction after cosmetic facial surgery have shown that the results often do not correspond to the patients' expectations or that the intervention, although visually an improvement, led to functionally serious disadvantages (e.g. difficult breathing after nose corrections, numbness of the lower lip after chin corrections, "feeling of strangeness" of the lips after injections or difficult facial expressions after Botox treatments).
